The little white and black pup squeaked in protest when he fetl himself being picked up again. Not by the same Wolf as before though, because he knew this scent as his mother. He wiggled around in her grasp, mewling like a kitten, then finally, when he was set down beside his sister- his sister's scent he reconized as well. His blue eyes gazed around thoughtfully as he tried to look at everything, make out what everything was. However, after giving up, her burrowed into his mother's belly fur, purring happily.
Murtagh slowly stood when Erika was settled down and looked his flank over with a look of annoyance and a slight eye roll. His thick grey fur collected an un-countable amount of dust on the floor during his sitting position. He let out a low growl and quickly swiped his tongue ove his shoulder several times, before shaking his pelt out and trotting outside. He lifted his moist black nose to the air and let the breeze hit it, throwing in many scents along with it, before he changed direction toward the stream. The cool water rippled in tiny waze and a sparkle touched it as it glinted against the sun rays. The dark grey male let out a little bark, then pranced toward the stream and waded in, letting the liquid soak into his fur. It was cool, but oddly calming. He soaked for a minute, before leaping out and looking around anxiously, shaking out his wet coat and splattering the area around him with tiny water droplets.
The massive male for such a young age continued trodding through the woods, sinking low into a crouch every now and then to leap at a stray hare or field mouse. He wasn't interested in food at all. He had some large decicions to make. His tail thumped back and forth wildly while he paused to attempt to clear his thoughts, though vey much un-succesfully. His shoulder muscles bunched together as well as his hind legs when he sprung over a fallen log in his way. For a while, he had followed Tempest's path, knowing she had been in the forest at the same time as him and close too. But as she approached the clearing, he veered off in the other direction. Now, with a rather heavy sigh, the yearling let out a short howl and broke into a trot back to his den.

Zakira half rose to her feet, until she saw it was only Harek who returned. She glanced behind the white she’, but Nomed didn’t follow. Presuming he wouldn’t be far behind, the dark brown she-wolf turned to Harek as she reclaimed her pups and settled them beside her to nurse. “Nothing I couldn’t handle,” she replied, in response to whether the pups had been troublesome. “They were fine.” She lowered her muzzle to smooth Halo’s bristling ruff, smiling to herself at his show of dominance, as she listened to Harek explain what had kept her. “Yes, I’ve met Nico and Traxx. They’re harmless enough. I don’t know Freya…a healer, you say?” Zakira’s grey eyes flicked to the other she’s, tucking that bit of information away. Though she didn’t bother with much of the pack’s goings-on, it was only sensible to have at least a working knowledge of who’s who among its members. At her sister-in-law’s cautious question, she sat back and barked a short laugh. “Now you see,” she said wryly. “That is mine and Nomed’s biggest argument. It was the issue that nearly broke us. He can’t see that he’s surrounded himself with she-wolves who are perfectly capable of taking care of themselves. It’s enough to drive me insane!”
Callyn blinked and turned to smile at Tempest when she came in. Her mismatched eyes narrowed suspiciously at her daughter’s polite inquiry, not sure if she was just imagining the underlying teasing tone. “I did, thanks very much,” she responded tartly. Then she raised an eyebrow and a hint of her smile returned to lurk at the corners of her lips. “And where have you been, may I ask?”
Joshua grinned delightedly, already vowing to ask Freya when she came today to see check on her and Sawyer. “I am feeling better, Mama!” she insisted –rather loudly, to prove her point. Her floppy ears twitched and she glanced sheepishly at Sawyer as her sister shushed her. “Sorry,” she said, quieter. Brigan smiled at both pups. “Just play quietly, baby girl, so Sawyer can sleep. She needs to sleep to get better,” he said. After a few minutes, he shifted Sawyer back to Ana’s side, carefully so as not to wake her, and stood up. “I’ll hunt and bring back breakfast for everyone.” Joshua jumped up. “Can I come?” Brigan hesitated, glancing at Ana. “I usually let her come…I didn’t like to leave her behind,” he said softly, over the pup’s head. He turned back to the pup now and spoke lightly. “Baby girl, why don’t you stay with Mama and Sawyer this time? I’ll be right back. Freya should be here soon too,” he added. “You wouldn’t want to miss her.” It was this last argument that got Joshua’s attention. She nodded slowly, clearly unhappy not to go with her father. “Okay.”
Nico laughed again, warming up to the black, chain-clad male. Though he’d met both Zakira and Nomed once before, they’d both been rather distant and aloof. Nico wondered now if that had been mainly Zakira…Nomed certainly seemed friendly enough without her. The young male didn’t try to kid himself, however. He had no doubt that every single one of the stories he’d heard about this male –and his mate- were true. They were volatile. “Oh, I dunno,” he said. He leaned forward confidentially. “I’m still new to the whole world of she’s. You know, my mate and I grew up together, all our lives, and I never once saw her so much as snap at a flea. And then, the other day, she just wigs out on me! And on the totally other side of the spectrum, there’s Traxx. When we met, she tried to kill us, and now I couldn’t ask for a better friend. She’s are incomprehensible.” Nico shook his head in mock distress.
Freya smiled as the males slid into a discussion about she-wolves and took that as her cue to go. “Well,” she said, going to retrieve her abandoned supplies. “It was nice meeting you both. I’d better be getting these things to the den I’m setting up. I have to go visit the wolfdog Brigan’s puppies again later too.” She nodded to them, and trotted off. When she reached her den, she put away the alder bark and the borage and burdock root, then gathered together the things she needed for Sawyer and Joshua and set off for their den. Upon reaching it, she poked her head inside. “Hello, hello!” she called cheerily. “How is everyone?”

Harek nodded, giggling like a pup on berries. "He's always been protective," she admitted, her voice dropping to a murmur as she looked down at her pups, ears flicking lightly. "After, you know, the accident, he got more protective. That's why he left me in the pack. He didn't know if he could take care of me, but he wasn't a pack animal." She gave a small shrug, lifting her gaze to Zakira with a small smile across her muzzle. She looked at the pups with a smile. "So, Zakira," she said, changing the subject. "Do you think our pups will be more like siblings or cousins?? Because, I don't know about you, but I doubt I could handle four pups fighting all the time." She gave a light laugh. "Whenever Huckle allowed us out of the den, Fuco would harass Guana and I until Guana would attack him and pin him down until he apologized." She gave a light giggle.
Nomed chuckled at Nico, shaking his head. "Why must we be around females??" he complained good-naturedly, pinning one ear back. "They're so confusing." He nodded to Freya as she padded off to a den. He returned his attention to the young male. "They try to kill you one day, then love you the next. Zakira actually tried to kill me the first time we met, and now look at us." He snorted, shaking his head slowly in mock sadness.

Zakira felt her eyes drawn irresistibly to first her pups, then Harek’s in turn A brief, unexpected wave of wistfulness washed over her at Harek’s anecdote. Pleasant or not, at least she had those memories of her siblings. She spoke haltingly, uncomfortably aware that she had only ever shared information about herself like this with Nomed. “I had a brother…but I was kept apart from the other pack puppies. I didn’t play.” What she didn’t say, couldn’t bring herself to say, was how she’d sit and watch them sometimes from afar, or that when Dolan found her so, he would cuff her sharply. You are an Avenger, Zakira! he would snarl. Laughter and play –he spit the words from his mouth like rotten berries- are for pack whelps. A shadow passed over the masked she-wolf’s black face and her eyes hardened. She stood and paced away from her puppies, tension in every line of her body, only to return moments later and curl up close around them. She nuzzled Nakira gently. What she wouldn’t have given now to have had the kind of relationship with her brother that Harek had with Nomed. “They will be close like siblings,” she answered finally, long after the question had been asked. A note of decisiveness rang in her musically accented voice. “All four of them. And if they fight, then they fight. But they will fight others in each other’s defense all the more fiercely.”
Nico paused, eyeing Nomed oddly. The private life of Zakira and Nomed was something he couldn’t even begin to fathom. He found it very difficult to imagine the cold, impassive chocolate she-wolf ever thawing enough to behave toward her mate in any way that even vaguely approached ‘loving’. Though before Harek had bitten Nomed’s ear and taken him down to a level Nico could actually relate to, he probably would have said the same thing about the big, dangerous-looking black male. He cocked his head, and his bright green eyes twinkled mischievously. “Now?” he joked. “You mean she doesn’t still try to kill you? Huh, I seemed to have been under another impression… ” The young male’s tongue lolled in a teasing grin.

Harek flattened her ears at Zakira's words and her eyes softened, but not with pity. Something more along the lines of gentle understanding. She gave a light sigh and shook her head wearily. "Looks like we both had screwed up lives," she muttered, more to herself than aloud, then shook her head sharply as if to clear it before fixing Zakira with a burning gaze. "These little buggers will be the strongest, happiest, most loved pups in the whole general territory. Mark my words, Zakira, we'll be the best parents ever because we know exactly how not to act." With that declaration, she gave a firm nod as she stared down at her pups. She nuzzled them lovingly, closing her eyes to breathe in their soft, fluffy scent. Nardo squeaked and rolled into Reiko, who in turn batted him away and curled closer into her mother's warm belly. She gave a bell-like laugh and snorted lightly down on them, making them squeak again and go back to rolling and shoving each other. Light blue eyes twinkling, she glanced up at Zakira in amusement. "The last thing I ever expected was to find my brother, especially to find he had a mate," she said softly. "But now, I'm glad I found both. You're family, Zakira. And I wouldn't have it any other way."
Nomed tossed back his head and gave a deep, full body laugh. It carried on for several seconds, almost a full minute, before he finally managed to regain his composure and speak again. "Yeah, we've had some issues, I won't deny that," he agreed, giving off another laugh. "But when it comes down to it, she's just a wolf who's had a bad past, something we actually relate quite well on." He gave a mighty shrug of his broad shoulders. "Can't blame her for lashing out every now and then, especially when I do the same. You just have to think about it, though : when you can love a wolf enough to ask and become mates, then does the past really matter?? Love is love, and that's what will always make me go to her, even after a fight." He frowned then, ears drooping slightly. "Aaand, I sounded like a pregnant she-wolf there, didn't I??" He tossed his head back, groaning loudly. "I need to stop hanging out with she-wolves!"

Zakira felt no inclination to mark Harek’s words. She knew her pups would lack for nothing, ever. Neither would they suffer abuse or unnecessarily harsh chastisement like she had, and Nomed and Harek. In those ways, she would be a good parent. But though she could spare her pups the upbringing she’d had, she couldn’t change who she was. Her greatest fear was that, despite her best intentions, she would set a bad example for her little ones to follow. She gazed down at her pups, smiling slightly as Halo sighed in his sleep and Nakira twitched. The emotionally frigid she-wolf grew still at Harek’s soft acknowledgement that she was family. She didn’t look up, giving no indication that she’d even heard. Distancing herself from her feelings for a moment, she contemplated her reaction to those words. Family… Her shoulders relaxing, Zakira glanced at her sister-in-law with a genuine, if faint, smile. If her inhibitions kept her from replying, it wasn’t because she didn’t feel the same.
Nico laughed along with the black male, though he grew quiet as Nomed’s tone changed when he spoke about his mate. He tipped his head, watching the other male thoughtfully. He’d never heard Zakira spoken of that way, like she were just a wolf, broken and guarded, but not the cold demon she portrayed herself as. And the love in Nomed’s voice was real. It was an entirely new perspective on the couple. He grinned as Nomed groaned, but shook his head. “Nah, I get it. Crazy, isn’t it? We joke about the she-wolves’ reign of terror, but the fact is, we’re willing slaves. We could probably take back control at any point if we wanted to, and yet, we’d never dream of it.” He gave a self-deprecating shrug, accompanied by a crooked grin. “My Skye is my world.”

Harek watched as Zakira stilled and mulled over her words, then gave a tiny smile. That little sign was all the white wolf needed to know that the chocolate wolf had heard and acknowledged her words. With that, she flashed a big toothy yawn and stretched her legs out beside her slightly. "Life is fun, but I'm exhausted," she said sleepily, blinking slowly. She flashed a small smile back to Zakira and rested her head on her paws. "Oh, how I long for the days when I had all the energy these little things are gonna have in a few short weeks, maybe even days." She frowns meaningfully at them, though they didn't acknowledge her words more than squeak and snuggle deeper into a white and black bundle. She laughed lightly. "Fortunately, I'm not so old I will be totally dead to the world after a play day or two." She sighed softly and reclined on her side, shutting her eyes sleepily. "Hopefully . . ." Her eyes fluttered shut and she drifted off asleep.
Nomed nodded, agreeing with the male as he spoke about the truth behind the reign of the shes. He sighed, shaking his head in mock sadness. "It's a real shame, huh??" he muttered good-naturedly. "We're the males, the stereotypical fighters and hunters and leaders . . . And we let she-wolves, the stereotypical softies and sweeties, rule our every move." He frowned, thinking. "Well, not every move." He snorted then, gazing at the younger male from the tops of his eyes. "Zakira is my world, too. And now, so are Halo and Nakira. Our pups. No matter what happens, I'll always be there every step of the way, for each one of them. I can't imagine life without a single one. They're what makes my world go round." He glanced up at the sky and took in the sun placing. While he had no idea what time it meant, he knew he'd been there for a while and it would be best to not overstay his welcome. He was, after all, standing next to what he assumed was Nico and Skye's den, and it would make him insane if a male he'd heard disastrous rumors of was standing anywhere near his home. Standing, he dipped his head to the tan male. "As much as I love talking like a she-wolf with you," he said with a small smirk. "I'd best be getting back to ensure Harek didn't take out her anger from me on Zakira." He chuckled lowly. "It was nice speaking to you, Nico."

Zakira returned her gaze to her pups, silently agreeing. It wouldn’t be long now. Both Halo and Nakira were becoming much more active throughout the day. And she’d noticed both pups’ eyes had opened. She knew once eyes and ears opened up, personalities started really developing strongly, and first words weren’t long behind. As Harek drifted off, the dark brown she’ glanced toward the cave entrance, wondering about Nomed. She’d meant to ask Harek why he hadn’t come back with her, but wouldn’t wake her now just for that. She hoped Nomed hadn’t run into any trouble. Though she knew her mate was fully capable of handling just about anything thrown his way, and that the niggling little worry that tugged at her insides was all but unwarranted, there was always the possibility that something had gone wrong…
Nomed included his pups in his world, and Nico’s thoughts turned to the little ones he and Skye were expecting. After his talk with Traxx, the thought didn’t terrify him nearly as much as it once had, or maybe he was just growing used to the idea. His grin returned as Nomed excused himself from their conversation. “You have fun with that!” he laughed. He didn’t envy anyone walking into the middle of such a potentially perilous situation. “Yeah, you too, Nomed. See you later.” When the black male had gone, Nico trotted to the den and poked his head in to check on Skye. Finding her still resting, he decided to go hunting. The lanky young male loped off. Before he found prey, he came across the scent of a larger hunting party, comprised of at least five pack members and headed by their new Alpha, Odeta. Nico made a split-second decision, and set off jauntily in their direction. The hunting party was closing in on a deer and Nico slowed and quieted his approach so he wouldn’t scare it off. Slipping up beside a big striped beige male he’d noticed at the gathering –Barak, he remembered, he flashed him a grin in greeting. “Mind if I join you?” he asked, keeping his voice low.

Nomed chuckled and loped off, long legs eating up the ground between himself and his den. He flicked his ears around calmly, scenting the air to ensure that Harek had made it safely back to the den without having any altercations with another wolf or animal that dared bother his sister. By the time he reached the cave, he was more than calm about his surroudings and almost padded right in before remembering Harek's previous fury at him and freezing in place. He cautiously poked his muzzle around the entrance, ears pricked and eyes wide as he looked for the white she-wolf. When he saw she was sleeping, he nearly collapsed in relief and silently crept closer, keeping his eyes on her until he was close enough to Zakira that he could leap over her and be protected by her body. He laid down behind her, nuzzling her neck before resting his head beside her paws. "I have never been happier to see her asleep," he murmured softly. "She and I had a tiny squabble, and she snapped her teeth down on my ear. I decided to wait around and talk with Nico for a while until she calmed down enough to allow me to be around her." He pouted and flicked it, pointing it at her. A tiny smooth spot from the white wolf's muzzle remained, but that was all. "See??"
Barak padded around the outside edge of the clearing, ears flicking around in never ending movement. Therefore, the beige male wasn't surprised in the slightest when Nico approached, actually turning his indigo eyes toward the tan male just before he spoke. Upon hearing his request, the male nodded and flashed a small smile. "We welcome all those that wish to help," he murmured deeply, so deep in fact it was almost felt. He dipped his head back to the back of his tiny group. "Feel free to join in; we'll wait for the rushers and charge from the sides as it comes level with us."

Zakira breathed a silent sigh of relief as Nomed’s black muzzle poked cautiously inside the den. And then, angry with herself for even allowing herself to become so worried, she directed it on the cause of her anxiety. He was totally oblivious, prattling on about how Harek had bit his ear and he’d been hiding out from her with Nico. When he poutingly showed her the little indent in his ear from his sister’s teeth, obviously expecting sympathy, she snapped at him, drawing a tiny pinprick of blood. Her grey eyes flashed. “And did it even cross your mind that I might be wondering where’d you’d disappeared to?!” she hissed. “That I might be…” She stopped, struggling to admit she’d been worried, and glared instead.
Nico nodded and fell back a step. “Sounds good.” He lifted his nose slightly, scenting for the rushers and determining which direction they were coming in from. He waited for his cue.

Nomed squeaked a yelp as she bit down on the exact same spot as Harek did and turned wide green eyes to her, shocked at her attack. He blinked slowly several times, trying to understand what just happened, when her words hit him. He looked suitably abashed, ducking his head slightly and looking at her from the tops of his eyes. "I'm sorry, love," he murmured. "I didn't think I was gone long enough to make you fret." He nosed her gently, almost puplike. "Forgive meee??" (Nomed's a sap. A giant, fluffy sap. -.- As for Nico / Barak, I'm gonna wait till Sierra or someone gets on to do something. Mmkk?? ^.^)

(Lol, I couldn't resist having Zakira turn on him, right when he was looking to her to protect him from Harek! You just make him so fun to torment XD I expected as much for Nico and Barak, no prob.)
Zakira wasn't quick to forgive -never had been. She fixed her mate with an angry stare as she waited for his thick brain to catch up with her. But when understanding dawned on him, it didn’t necessarily smooth things over either. His meek, puplike behavior did more to exacerbate her anger than to pacify it. She respected strength and dignity more than apologies and repentance, though she knew he meant well. She didn’t pull away when he nosed her, but neither was she willing to respond to it yet. “You said you were only going out to fetch Harek!” she snapped. “I expected you to come back with her! What was I supposed to think when you didn’t?” She started to turn away, nearly finished with her mini tirade, when one more irritation prickled her. “And Avengers don’t fret!” she added fiercely.

(Ahhh! Sorry All! I have been so caught up in stuff... Alright, big post to make up for my horridness)
The amber she wolf's muscles bunched visibly as she lowered her feminine body to the ground. Her firm chest brushed against the ground, the snow soaking her thick underbelly fur as she lie there. The pumpkin orbs that were her eyes flicked across the small clearing where the deer currently resided. It was oblivious to its dangerous situation. Perfect. With an exaggerated slowness, the alpha reached out of front paw and placed it on the snow blanketed ground silently. she shifted her weight and inched forward, her body scraping against the ground as she moved. Her carefulness was obvious, her silence deadly. Odeta turned her gaze across the clearing, towards Barak. She spotted him, but barely, as he was well hidden. Strangely enough, another male crouched beside him. He was familiar, and she realized with a start that he was the mate of Skye, the she wolf who had bombarded her with barbed questions when she had first came to claim the alpha spot. Nico. His name clicked in her head and a grin played across her face. She nodded her head towards the male in greeting and welcome, and then presently turned her attention back on their potential meal. She watched him closely, the buck, and waited for him to dip his muzzle deep within the snow in hopes of finding a few meager blades of dead grass. Odeta forced a loud snort out of her nostrils, the signal. A this, the buck threw his head in the air, his ears brought forward, and his nostrils flared. He stood stiff, and stomped his hoof down in warning, causing a large thump to echo in the clearing. Odeta lifted her body off the ground slightly, still not enough to be seen, and readied herself to lunge.
The stout, red male watched the spot where he had last seen his alpha before she disappeared. Faolan lisened intently for a signal, and hoped that he hadn't already missed it. The male scooted forward, his crouched body beginning to cramp as his tense muscles remained bunched. Suddenly. a loud snort, clearly no from the buck, sounded through the area, and Faolan knew the time was right. Without warning, the stout, thick red male lunged forward. His short legs stretched out in front of him, and pulled him forward with a hungry earnest. The wolf completely forgot about dodging the drifts of snow, for he was so focused on his target. Suddenly, he had found himself at the bottom of one particular daunting drift, one of many that riddled the clearing. Luckily, the buck had yet to notice him, with his back turned and the wolf being silent. Diving head first, the male powered through the heavy snow and came out of the other side triumphant. His coat was now caked with snow, and his face was veiled with white. Finally, the male made his presence known to his prey with a sharp bark. In response, the buck flicked his gaze behind him, then lunged forward, startled and frightened. The buck, unlike the wolf chasing him, had know trouble plowing through the snow. Struggling, Faolan still managed to keep up with his potential meal, his determination unending.
Kali, hearing the call for the hunt, lunged forward, following after the red male whom she didn't know. Kali glanced over her shoulder at her mate before turning her attention back towards the buck. The she wolf, being also shot and pregnant, barreled through the deep snow with some difficulty, but managed to push the buck forward, and stopping any possible way for a backwards escape for the meal.

(Lolol I think we both enjoy putting Nomed in the place of danger more than we should. X) we're such bad people, aren't we?? XD) Nomed flattened one ear back as she continued to rave at him. He wanted to laugh at her snarled words, but knew better than to push the already furious female. She-wolves, he remembered, rule the world, whether intentionally or not. He merey watched her from the tops of his eyes, waiting for her to be done. When she finally turned away, he opened his mouth, but snapped it shut again when she whipped back around. Her final statement cracked the last of his self-perseverance fled him. A low chuckle bubbled from his muzzle, and he buried his face into his chest to smother the remnants of his laughter, though he knew it was too late. Oh well. Guess he better finish . . . "Sorry, babe, but if Avengers don't fret, what exactly are you doing??" he snorted, a laugh bubbling from his throat once more. He then gave her a quick lick before he flopped over on his side, paws splayed. "I can now die a happy wolf, knowing I was able to lick my mate before I go." He squeezed his eyes shut, a small smile on his muzzle.
Barak heard the snort and bunched his muscles, nudging the tan male beside him lightly. That's our cue. He paced forward slowly, waiting for the rushers. As they neared the buck, his muscles tensed and he awaited with earnest. (Odeta can start the attack. Sorry about the day long wait, guys. Just had a really, really bad day.)

The black winged she crouched down, near the male named Barak, waving her tail to Tanek to follow her. She stopped on the other side of Nico, ready to lunge for this as Barak did. Her golden eyes sparkled excitedly, it had been a long time since she'd hunted with the pack like this, and she had missed it lots. Her muscles tightened as her adrenaline rushed though her body, and her wings stayed firmly by her side, as if they didnt exist for that time.
A golden she wolf stumbled into the pack territory, covered in scars, several of which were open and oozing blood as she struggled on. She flopped down on the ground, then it occured to her that this was another wolf territory, yet she just couldn't pull herself up again to move away. She could smell a hunt nearby, but what made her golden eyes widen was the familiar scent in the mix of wolves and prey.

((Hahaha, oh yeah, we’re terrible XD Poor Nomed. Still, half the time he brings it on himself!))
Zakira pinned her ears and glowered darkly at her mate as he ducked his head to suppress his snickers, ready to chase him from the cave and out into the snow for his insolence. Then her own words occurred back to her and, despite her best intentions, the corners of her mouth began to twitch upwards as she saw the humor in it. Nomed stole a wolfy kiss and flopped over with his eyes closed, dramatically offering up his life as he declared he could now die happy. Zakira rolled her eyes. Her fury, which had only been a form of love in disguise anyway, wisped away. Leaning over him, she closed her teeth lightly in his neck. “Incorrigible dog,” she growled softly, though with a note of affection.

(Yes, yes he does. Nomed, why you so stupid??) Nomed batted at her softly, more like a pup than an adult, and chuckled lowly as her teeth closed around his neck. He had seen the smile curl the edges of her mouth and knew he was in the clear from her anger. Trying to suppress yet another laugh at her words, he disguised it as another lick. "Yes, but I'm your incorrigible dog," he playfully growled back. "And I wouldn't have it any other way." He rolled back up and rewrapped himself around his chocolate mate. He nuzzled his face into her neck, then opened his eyes to look over her back at their pups. Nakira flipped over onto her back, paws up in the air as if she was standing. He chuckled once again and shook his head slowly. "What is Nakira doing??" he asked lowly, a smile curving his muzzle. As the black she-pup began moving her legs like she was walking upside down, he began to slide back into a laughing mess. "I think that's you, not me."

“Fortunately,” Zakira replied, leaving it to Nomed to wonder whether it was he or she who was the fortunate one in this instance. The black-masked she-wolf raised an eyebrow in amusement at her daughter’s antics. She was dead certain she’d never done anything even remotely as adorable or ridiculous as a pup. No, that was Nomed’s side showing, through and through. “I never,” she refuted emphatically. “Nakira may look like me, but she’s her father’s daughter. Poor baby,” she added as an afterthought, shooting her mate a fleeting, teasing grin. She touched her nose to one of Nakira’s tiny flailing paws. “Going somewhere, little one?” she asked softly, a smile in her voice.
Nico tensed in anticipation as the male beside him nudged him. He prowled forward, suppressing the urge to wiggle in excitement like a pup. But as Barak stopped once more, waiting for who-knows-what cue this time, Nico grew impatient. Glancing from Barak, to the buck, and back again, he made a snap decision. It was hasty, reckless, and probably terribly inconvenient to other members of the hunting party. Giving voice to a sudden growl, the young male leapt past Barak and launched himself at their prey, fastening his teeth in its haunch.

Traxx saw Nico charge the deer and she ran as well. She jump onto the deer shoulders and bit down on the back of it's neck. Sol-Leks shook her head and turned to Kavik, "Never just charge alone. Wait for the order from the alpha." she said.
Shadow stayed back, his large wings prevented working in close quarters. He worried though, that Kali may get hurt. He would watch and if she need him, he would go.

Nomed chuckled as Zakira blamed him for Nakira's upside down dream-walking. He raised an eyebrow and attempted to keep a straight face as he stared at Zakira in mock shock. "Well then," he said, feigning offense to her words. He turned his nose up, sniffing disdainfully into the air with a pout. "I thought we were past this, but I see how it is." However, the large black male couldn't keep up the straight-faced façade when Zakira nosed their pup gently, asking her where she was going. His expression softened and he rested his head across his mate's chicolate back, smiling softly at the tiny bundles of fluff. He nosed her neck gently. "She's going to go find her mother's tail," he smirked, casually moving his tail under Zakira's and inching it towards the pups. "Aren't you, my little princess??" Nakira's tiny mouth opened in a pink yawn. She squeaked blearily and arched her back as she stretched her legs above her, then let out an indignant squeak as she tumbled over onto her side, eyes wide. Nomed laughed deeply. "You sure it's not you??" he teased.
Barak flicked his ears as Nico charged forward, attacking the deer, biting into its haunches. Part amused, part irritated, he noticed another wolf raced past him as well to bite into the buck's shoulder. With a sigh, he straightened and let out a bark to inform Odeta of the change of plans: attack, not wait. He too lunged forward to the prey, flitting around the buck to not only draw his attack but search for an opening for the kill. While he wanted to wait for Odeta, as alpha and leader of the hunt, to do so he knew he would have to if the buck managed to get around to the wolves dangling off him. He'd reprimand them later . . . Or rather, Odeta would.
