"Yeah, we thought it may have helped. It didn't though." she said , giggling. "I was the oldest of my siblings, I unfortunately witnessed my father killing them. And then I saw my mom kill my dad for what he did." she shook her head. She stopped suddenly, sniffing the air and bristling her hackles. "Lets go this way." she said and started to step into Barak to get him to turn. "There is a female over there who is quite a character and I would prefer not to run into her." she said. Before she could turn, a she with armor trotted over. "Hey blind one who's the new guy?" she asked and playfully rubbed up against Barak, "I'm Honor." she introduced herself.

Barak was about to heed Traxx's warning and walk away when a she-wolf ambushed them. Well, she didn't really ambush, more like appeared and trapped, and she didn't really go for them, it was more himself alone. His skin flinched as she came up and rubbed against his side, though he didn't show more discomfort than that. His indigo eyes regarded her lazily and he stood stock still so as not to disrupt Traxx. "I am Barak," he introduced formally. "I am new around these parts, and Traxx was the first wolf kind enough to befriend me and show me around a bit." He flashed her a grateful smile. "I'm sorry for any intrusion we may have caused to your territory." He didn't know if wolves here, despite being a pack, had their own areas where they claimed as their own. Some wolves he ran into before did, and didn't appreciate his interloping. He dipped his head to the she-wolf, Honor, warily.

After grabbing a piece of the moose that the amber female had killed, Kali trotted back to Shadow. Her dainty paws flicked across the ground as she pranced forward. Once there, she placed the moose in front of the den and waited for Shadow to notice.
Tratto made it back to his parent's den. He howled happily, his voice shaking slightly as he trotted forward. His tail wagged furiously, happily.
Essence perked her ears at a noise and she wagged her tail. She was having quiet the hard time with realizing that her pups were finally grown up, and that she would have to deal with not seeing them everyday.
Odeta nodded and stood. She decided to leave the rest of her kill to the scavengers. The amber female trotted through the underbrush and continued forward. She didn't know where she was going. She went in a random direction and started to look around. The vibrant leaves fell around her like rain. She took in a deep gulp of air, scenting everything surrounding her.

Nico eyed his mate carefully, unconvinced. True, Skye worried way too much, but it usually wasn’t about nothing. She laughed and bumped his shoulder, and he felt himself smile. Skye was a terrible liar; if she was able to laugh and joke, it couldn’t be that bad. Or at least, whatever it was, it had passed now. He licked her ears. “Alright, love.” Glancing around again, he spotted a low bush and nodded toward it. “How about there?” He trotted over and crouched down, wiggling underneath. It was a snug, cozy little space, just big enough for the two of them, and very ill-suited to keeping out rain or snow, but perfect for the one night they intended to stay.
Brigan chuckled down at Kavik as he started walking toward the stream again. “Whoa, what was that for?” he demanded, gently swatting the pup over the head. He nipped playfully at him and grinned. “You want to get rough with me, pup?”
Joshua scooped up her flowers from Kavik and dashed into the den with them, tripping over the long stems. There, she left them on the floor and raced back out to catch up with her father, and Kavik, and his mother. She giggled at Kavik and Brigan playing, then looked up at Sol-Leks. “I’ve been good,” she replied, wagging her tail. “Daddy’s been teaching me to hunt,” she added proudly.
Callyn laughed again, picturing that fight. Of course, she knew as well as Barak they’d both be hopelessly outmatched. That was always the problem with wolves like Zakira and Nomed: their strength couldn’t be matched. Otherwise, they probably wouldn’t be a problem. She nodded when Traxx asked her if the pups had behaved for her. “Little angels…oddly enough.” She smiled drily. “Not at all what I’d expected.” She listened as Traxx offered to show the striped male around, and smiled again as they stood up to go. “You too, Barak,” she replied. “Have fun. And look after Traxx, okay? She has a habit of attracting trouble.” She laughed, then went to lay down in front of the den’s entrance when they’d gone, hoping to get a little sleep since the pups were behaving so nicely.
Zakira grimaced slightly, making a face at her mate. “That’s very reassuring, Nomed,” she said wryly. “Considering you flinch and cower if I even look at you wrong.” At first, the thought that her puppies were upset by her temper earlier had deeply troubled her, but she was beginning to reason through it. What was she supposed to do, stay calm and passive and mild her entire pregnancy, just to avoid disturbing their naps? That was out of the question! The puppies would just have to learn to live with her, to become accustomed to her rages when they arose, and to understand that it wasn’t directed towards them.

Skye breathed a sigh of relief that Nico had seemed convinced that it was nothing. It of course wasn't nothing, though, but it was an old scar of a once painful would. The way she thought of it, when she moved the wrong way, it was stretch and feel sore, but unless something happened to break the wound back open, it was healed; or as healed as it would ever be. She smiled and trotted after him as he excitedly bounced off, selected a bush, and crawled underneath it. She laughed, tunneling in the bush beside him. "It's good. It's a very good bush." She looked up, inspecting the density of the shrub. The sky could still be seen from under it, showing shades of black and blue dotted with white stars. She smiled and rolled onto her back to look more closely at the sky. "A very, very good bush..." She murmured.

Nomed chuckled deeply, shaking his head slowly. He didn't cower every time; she was just scary when she was furious anr he didn't see a reason to get his tail handed to him on a silver platter. He wagged his tail twice more, then sat up and looked around the den. He was in a parental mood, and saw things that wouldn't be safe for pups. To busy himself, he began tidying up the place, grabbing small chokable pebbles and taking them outside to a pile.

Nico grinned, amused by her choice of words, as he scooted over to make a bit more room for her. Actually, he quite liked how cozy the space was. His side touched Skye’s as they lay next to each other; he liked to be close to her. “Yup, it’s a great little bush!” he agreed. “Just so long as it doesn’t rain or anything tonight, right?” He rolled over to his back to stare up at the stars with her, but his gaze was drawn back down to the she-wolf beside him. There was no sky prettier than his. His Skye.
Zakira smirked. He could deny it all he liked. It was true and he knew it. She hated it when he cringed from her. She knew he was strong enough to take her on, and do so without hurting her too, so he needn’t worry about that; he’d done it before. That was a huge part of the reason it infuriated her when he refused to engage. She just needed an outlet, and Nomed was ideal, because he could take it, but he wouldn’t. Instead, he meekly let her snarl and snap until it became pointless to, because it never got her anywhere. Thinking this, her eyes followed Nomed absentmindedly around the den as he went on a mini cleaning frenzy and hurried around the cave clearing it of dangerous bitty stones like the puppies were due tomorrow and not for weeks yet. “Tell me about your family, Nomed,” she said, out of the blue. “Not your father; your mother and siblings.”

Nomed froze midstep and stared straight ahead, ears back pointed to her. He lowered hid paw slowly and turned to look at her, eyes expressionless. He thought carefully, sitting slowly before her. "Well, my mother died at the birthing of my siblings and I, which is why my father hated us," he said calmly. "My older sister Guana was motherly and kind, she looked out for us all the time. Fuco was an outstanding hunter and fighter, and my father's pride. Huckel always complimented him. Then Harka looked like my mother, so Huckel told us. He wouldn't hurt her, couldn't hurt her, so he took out his anger on us." He looked at the sky, thinking hard. "My father got mad at us all one day when we were six months old; we hadn't brought in enough food for him in the middle of winter and he got mad. He started snarling at us, and Guana pushed us others behind her. It set him off and he -" he cleared his throat. "He killed her. Cut her right down in front of us. Fuco tried to avenge her, but he was no match for his fury. He died too." He curled up his lip. "When Huckel went for Harek . . . I couldn't take it. I attacked him and killed him. Then I dropped Harek off with a pack and started wandering." He shrugged. "Then we met after a few years, and the rest you know."

Traxx growled quietly at Honor, who was now trying her hardest to get Barak to follow her. "I would love to show you around the territory, as I could actually show you different places." she said as she pushed herself between hm and Traxx. "I know of the wolves better here than she does. Besides how much can a blind she really show you." she said as she tried to encourage Barak to walk away from Traxx.

Barak flattened one ear and shifted away from Honor as best as he could. He sat down beside Traxx, ears down though not flat. He tried to seem relaxed but also had the appearance of mildly annoyed. "I'm fine with my friend, thank you," he said calmly, tone betraying nothing. "We're wandering about and I'm not sure about many wolves. I can find my own around here."

"Traxx could I talk to you, alone." Honor said, smiling slyly. Traxx flattened her ears and growled. "I'd rather not." she responded and turned to Barak, "Shall we leave?" Traxx asked and stood up. Honor once again shoved herself in between the two of them, "He's leaving with me, blind one." she snapped as she nipped Traxx on her shoulder, causing her to fall. Traxx stayed on the ground where she fell and growled, ears flat back.

Murtagh chuckled lightly andook a few more steps away before turning back to her with a sigh. He lazily slipped over beside her. "C'mon, let's go figure out what the rest of the pack is doing." He said and started forward.

Barak morphed from a happy-go-lucky wolf into a vicious demon when Honor bit Traxx. Without a sound, he lunged over the fallen wolf and took Honor straight down, one paw on her shoulder, the other on her throat. Indigo eyes blazing, he remained for the most part calm as he leaned closer to her. "Now you listen to me well, she-wolf," he growled lowly in her face. "Traxx is a blind, injured wolf and I will not tolerate bullies, especially around my friends. If you have something to say that's unnecessary, keep it to yourself. Do we understand each other now, Honor??" He spoke her name with an undercurrent of threat, tellig her just how furious he was. If she did it again, he would not let her off so easy.

Raiya nodded and padded beside him. After a while she saw a she bite another she who looked like she had been through some fights. Then a large male attacked the offending she. Bringing her down and growing something lowly to her. She nudged Murtagh and asked him in a whisper, "Should we see whats going on?"

"Yeah," Murtagh said, nodding his head in agreement. "Lets go." He slowly padded over, not wanting to interfere too much, but clearly interested in what was going on. He glanced toward Raiya with a raised brow and a shrug as he sort-of-quietly, cleared his throat, though didn't speak. He kind of left that part for Raiya if they qwere even noticed. (Gtg. The parents on their way and the house is messyyyy, lol. Might be on later. )

Raiya took a step forward. "Whats going on here?" She asked. She glanced in the not-pinned-down wolfs direction and noticed that she was blind. She turned toward the pinned down wolf. "Why did you attack her?" She asked. She was facing Honors direction but the question was open for anyone to answer.

Honor nodded and whined, wriggling herself out from under Barak and ran off. Traxx's growls were turning into whines as she tried to stand, "Not all wolves get alone with her. Actually none do. Traxx said as she struggled to her feet. Standing she shook her black fur out, only to realize her shoulder had torn back open. "Callyn is going to kill me. My shoulder opened back up." Traxx took a step towards Barak and rested her chin on his back, "Thank you." she said softly.

Zakira’s lip curled distastefully. She regretted ever telling Nomed his father was the stronger wolf. A strong wolf was one who could do the right thing without hesitating, without flinching, even if the decision was a tough one. Huckel was nothing short of a monster, worse even than her own Avenger mentor, who at least had a reason for his cruelty. It was the way Avengers had always been trained. Huckel murdered his pups in a senseless rage. She stood up and tucked her nose wordlessly under Nomed’s chin. She hadn’t meant to bring up those horrible memories for him. She’d known about his father; she’d just been curious about the rest of his family, about the happiness in his life. “I’m sorry,” she said, apologizing to someone for maybe the first time in her life. “I shouldn’t have…it’s not what I meant to ask.”

Skye smiled and nodded her agreement. The bush definitely wouldn't be the best place to be caught in the rain. She continued watching the stars happily until she felt eyes on her, and turned to look at Nico was a confused smile. "You don't like watching the stars?" She asked somewhat disappointedly. She turned to look at the heavens again, drawing a long breath. She had always loved looking at the sky, and she knew she would have anyway, regardless of what her parents had named her. It was something she felt like she didn't do enough, though, as she was always trying to care for the pups or Traxx. Under the stars next to her mate, she wished she could stay there. She had long forgotten about the fox, she just wanted to enjoy some time alone with Nico. As he had pointed out, they hadn't been together in 'forever.'

"Sure I do!" Nico protested, smiling to himself as he turned his muzzle upward again. He tried to focus on the tiny pinpricks of light far above. He did understand why his father had always been fascinated with the sky; it was beautiful, if he could set his own personal standards of beauty for a moment. "There, look at those ones," he said, gesturing with a paw at a cluster of stars slightly to their left. "If you tilt your head just a little, couldn't you imagine a squirrel holding an acorn to its mouth? If that big star is the acorn and the long line trailing out behind is the tail?"
