Barak nodded to Traxx and sat on her okay side, allowing her to lean against him once more as he studied her shoulder. He sniffed it, then flattened his ears before turning finally to the two new wolves before them. "Honor, the armored she-wolf, tried to convince me to leave Traxx alone and follow her around, but I refused since I'm new here and Traxx was the first wolf I met who tried to befriend me," he explained. "I am Barak. You are??" He flicked one ear to them as he turned his head back to investigate Traxx's shoulder once more.
Nomed licked her ears, taking great comfort in Zakira being near him. He nuzzled her neck gently, curling closer to her. "Its fine, its not your fault," he murmured. "You couldn't have known." He nosed her face. "But that's the past, now. This is present. I wouldn't have told you if I wasn't okay with it."

Murtagh dropped the arched brow that he revaled to all who looked at him as the male introudced himself -first after explaining to Raiya what had happened a bit. Murtagh slowly sat, curling his tail around his paws and adressing the male that introduced himself then gestured to Raiya. "And my mate Raiya." He said to him.

Traxx turned towards the pair, "Hello. I think we have met before, Raiya. You are a friend of my mother Sol-Leks, right?" Traxx asked.

Zakira rested her head on his chest, just listening to his heart thump against her ear for a long moment. As precise and clear-spoken as she was, words became hard for her when it was emotion she was trying to express, so she offered her love and comfort to her mate in the only way she could: through physical nearness and touch. She looked up into his eyes. “Was there no happiness in your puphood at all then? Did you never play with your siblings when Huckel wasn’t around to put a stop to your fun?” She couldn’t say why it was so important to her that Nomed find some shred of joy in his youth. She just wanted to hear a happy story for once.

Skye smiled, amused at his exclaimation the he did like the sky. She looked back up at th sky with him, trying to imagine what he saw. "Nah," she laughed, "I see a tree. What you say is the squirrel and the acorn, I see as a tree. The long line of stars trailing out is clearly the ground..." She paused. "Or a fox. I can see a fox, too." She turned to look back at Nico, wondering if his imagination was good enough to see what she saw, because she surely couldn't see the squirrel that he did.

Nico turned his head this way and that, trying to see what Skye saw in the same little cluster of stars he saw a squirrel in. "You're crazy!" he laughed. "I can see a fox, if the tail is the same as the squirrel's and I imagine the acorn is its nose, but I can't for the life of me see a tree. Ooh, ooh! Look at it all the way upside down, Skye!" he exclaimed suddenly, getting all excited. "Now it's a leaping fish! Haha, we should go fishing again."

Nomed shrugged lightly, trying to think. "From what I can remember, all we ever got to do was a little play when he was teaching us how to fight, but that was only because we were supposed to be 'play fighting'," he replied calmly. "Other than that, he was either makin us grab something for him to use, be it fresh bedding or something soft, or making us hunt for him. Sometimes, when we got out of sight and hearing, we were able to play a little, but he caught on quickly and gave us a time limit to hunt or fetch in. If we weren't back by then, we were cuffed and not given food." He likced her ears. "But its fine now. He's gone, and I'll never be like him." He nuzzled her face gently.

Skye burst out laughing, ready to defend her point that it really was a tree before Nico said he saw an upside-down fish jumping. She laughed harder, remembering their first fishing trip where she got cut by a catfish, fell in the lake, and when she finally got a fish out, she stepped on it and slid, destroying the fish and getting it covered in dirt. "I wouldn't have stepped on the the fish if you weren't laughing at me for falling in! I was so busy feeling embarrassed that I didn't see it lying there." She calmed herself down, shaking her head. "And you think I'm crazy. I don't see a fish." she murmured.

Traxx nodded, "Yes, I am." she said quietly. Her ears were still flat back and she sat down and buried her face in Barak's side. "Could we go somewhere else, Barak?" she asked.
Sol-Leks smiled at Joshua, "Have you caught anything yet on your hunting trips?" she asked.

Barak noticed her discomfort and nodded, standing slowly so she could continue leaning against him. He nodded to Raiya and Murtagh, excused himself and said his goodbyes, and lead her away slowly. He waited until they were out of earshot before turning to her. "What happened between you and your mother that you can'd even talk to her friend??" he asked cautiously.

I just, just... I snapped one day and went after some of my pack mates, including pups. My mother attacked me tearing my face open, blinding me and nearly breaking both my back legs. She succeed in breaking one of them." Traxx stopped walking and turned away, not sure how Barak would react to what she had said. "I'm not exactly the nicest wolf around and I prefer to stay away from most wolves. Although the wolves I hurt the most have forgiven me for what I did, I still have issues with my mother. The last time we were near each other, we tried to kill one another." she said and sighed.
Shadow wagged his tail as Kali returned with some moose, "I have something to show you Kali." Shadow said and pointed to the nest he had made from his downy feathers, "It is for the pups." he said and smiled before taking the moose.

Kali wiggled a smiled happily at the downy bed. Her eyes gleamed and she butt her head against Shadow's chest. "Thank you." She said simply, but the gratitude was clear in her voice

Barak flicked one ear back sadly and nosed her gently, comfortingly. He knew it had to be bringing up a bunch of horrible memories, and guilt gnawed at him as he realized he was causing her pain. He curled his tail around her gently. "Hey, crap happens sometimes and you may live with regret, but you have to live through it," he murmured. "Sometimes it seems like the world is crumbling, but it gets better. I'm sure your mother feels bad about it now, especially since you do, and if you try to talk to her, I'm sure she'll listen. She's a mother with a maternal instinct; that's what drove her to harm you, to keep others safe. If you want, I could even act as a buffer for you, and sit with you while you talk to her. But that's you decision, whether you want to talk to her or not and whether you want me there."

Traxx buried her face in his fur and nipped him gently, she felt safe for once. "I don't want to put you in any danger. We could try but promise me we will leave if she gets angry." Traxx said.

Shadow nearly choked on the moose as Kali head butted him, but he smiled back at her. He was delighted she liked the nest.

Barak nodded, agreeing. "Of course. Say the word." He looked around, ears pricked forward. "Do you want to do it now, or wait for a while??"

"How about if we run into her. You can't miss her. She is grey and white and blind in one eye. Has a brownish pup with her." Traxx said and nipped him again playfully.

Barak nodded, deciding to casually look for this gray and white wolf. He wouldn't make it obvious, though he truly couldn't as she couldn't see if he was looking about, though she would feel him moving so that could kill "casual". With an internal shrug, he bit back a sigh. "Of course," he replied, then flicked his ears about again. "So where to now??"
