Kali immediately stood, her hackles raised and a low warning growl continually rolled out of her throat. "What?" She uttered in a non friendly way. The female took a step forward, showing that she was not going to hesitate if Honor said something wrong.

"I just wanted to apologize. I'm truly sorry for how I have acted. I was way out of line. I allowed my jealousy to get the better of me and I really am not like like that." she said and looked down at her paws, not sure what to do next. She glanced up at Kali and rolled onto her side and back, showing her belly to Kali.

Tempest shrugged. "Oh well I guess. We'll catch them next time..." Traxx's suggestion about them waiting for them to return hit her mind all of a sudden and she considered it for a moment. Then, without hesitation this time, she shook her head. "No, we're good." She said, replying to Traxx for her mother. "We'll go hunting maybe and catch something like they did for us." She suggested.
Comet nodded to Nico. "Yeah, I got it," he replied quietly and lowered himself to the ground slightly, waiting for a signal from Nico to move on or for Cobalt to say anything -or Skye to add to part of the lesson.
Murtagh raised a brow at her and continued on a different sentence. "Let's hunt. When we get back, we can continue our conversation." He said, slyly escaping the moment. He smirked and stood, stretching, then didn't wait for her as he raced toward the woodline, pausing only once he reached it to turn and see if she was coming.

Kali growled and trotted forward. She poked her cold wet nose onto the females unprotected belly, aiming to undermine her confidence a little. She growled and lifted her head, glaring at Honor. "I will not except your apology. However I am happy you were able to swallow your pride for a moment so that you could tell me such," She said bitterly "And keep away from Shadow. You seem to have hurt him deeply as you were his only friend from before this life here in this pack." Kali back up a few steps, still glaring. She knew what she was saying was harsh, and maybe a bit rude. But she was not the type to forgive easily. If she was, she would have been dead a long while ago.

"Hmph." Raiya pouted and followed, letting Murtagh take charge.

Joshua preened. She'd forgotten that it was originally her daddy's suggestion to sneak up on Kavik and was immensely proud of herself for what she'd accomplished, believing it to be entirely her own idea, thought up and carried out by herself. She grinned and play-bowed to Kavik, wiggling her hindquarters in the air.
Brigan smiled again, flicking an ear in amusement, but didn't choose to continue the conversation. His mind was elsewhere at the moment. He was eyeing up the two pups, comparing their sizes and attempting to judge the difference in ages in his mind. "Sol-Leks," he ventured. "How old is Kavik? Have you started teaching him to hunt yet?"
"That's a good idea, Tempest," Callyn agreed, nodding to her daughter. She smiled at Traxx. "Thanks for the offer, but I think we'll do that. Tell Nico and Skye we stopped by, okay?" She turned to go, a secret smile playing around the corners of her lips. Tempest's little vanities never failed to amuse her. Because that was why she suggested hunting, of course. The pup just couldn't forget how Comet and Cobalt had rubbed their hunting prowess in her face and now she wanted the chance to put them in their place. Callyn chuckled to herself.

"Kavik is nearly five months old now. I have begun to teach him with small game. I would have begun sooner, but after being attacked so severely by Grimshaw I had to heal before continuing his teachings." she paused as a breeze moved her fur just the right way that part of a leather harness became visible. Kavik bowed back before getting up and trotting over to the adults "Momma do you think we can bring Joshua with us on a hunting trip one time?" he asked. "You should ask Brigan, son." she replied. Kavik look to Brigan, "Is it okay if Joshua came with us one time. To hunt?" he asked.
***
Traxx nodded, "Okay, I'll let them know you stopped by. Good luck on your hunt." she said and laid back down, she rubbed the still healing porcupine wounds.
***
Honor looked at Kali and got up, backing away until she was far enough to turn and run. She would listen this time, but she felt that she owed an apology to Shadow as well. Not now but soon.
***
Shadow got up and limped to the den opening. He sat down and yawned, looking in both directions before getting to his paws and started for the stream. He worried about Kali, he had sensed something had been up with her and he wanted to make sure she was alright. He got to the stream in time to see Honor turn tail and run and he limped up to Kali, nuzzling her shoulder. "Everything alright Kali?" he asked, muffling a growl.

Kali turned and licked Shadow's nose reassuringly. "I am fine," she said and buried her face in Shadow's fur. Kali wagged her tail and head butt her mate's shoulder gently.

Brigan nodded absent-mindedly. If he was counting right, Joshua was about ten weeks, or two and a half months, old. Was that too young to start teaching her to hunt? She was already beginning to pick some things up, just by accompanying him all the time. Sol-Leks was starting Kavik on small game at five months, but at her own admission, that was a little late, due to her healing injuries. He eventually decided he could probably start doing a little bit with Joshua and at least see how well she took to it, before moving on to more difficult lessons. That resolved, he gave his full attention to Kavik, who was, coincidentally, asking if Joshua could go hunting with him and his mother sometime. Brigan hesitated, glancing at his daughter. She stood poised, eyes on him, eagerly awaiting his verdict. It was difficult to consider sending her off without him, even just with Sol-Leks and Kavik, who he trusted as much as anyone. Reluctantly, he gave another nod. "That would probably be fine," he said. Joshua yipped in delighted anticipation of the future hunting trip, bouncing excitedly. "He said yes!" she crowed.

Murtagh turned to see Raiya, allowing a satisfied smirk to play over his mouth, before lolling his tongue from his mouth and entering the woods quietly. Immediatly, he lifted his nose to the air, taking in the scents around him and picking up the nearest one. A deer. But, there was an odd, sickly scent to it and Murtagh decided to venture away from it. That would be something very un-fortunate - to die of sickness for eating that deer. He shook his head and turned the other way, looking toward Raiya first. "Smell anything?"
Tempest giggled and skipped after her mother, yipping a "bye!" to Traxx as she went. "So, mama, what should we hunt? Oh! Oh! How about a deer!?" She begged, jumping up and down eagerly in her mom's footsteps ahead of Callyn.

Raiya lifted her head. Nose in the air, ear alert. "A turkey." She said.
(I just started reading the Twilight saga. I so wanted to say she smelled a vampire.)

"Turkey?" Murtagh raised an eyebrow. "Alright, we're hunting turkey. Lead the way, princess." He smirked and stepped back, gesturing with his head to her. (lol)

Raiya made a face, but headed in the direction of the smell. She paused, one foot in midair, as she heard it digging around for whatever turkeys ate. It was extremely focoused on finding food so Raiya sat down. "I thought this would be more of a challange." She whispered in Murtaghs ear.

Sol-Leks smiled and looked at Brigan, "Feel free to join us, if you would like to." she said and turned to Joshua and Kavik and smiled sweetly. Kavik turned to Joshua, "Follow me." he whispered and snuck behind a bush. He waited for either Sol-Leks or Brigan to not be paying attention and when he watched his mother start to scratch her ear he snuck around the bush. "Keep low to the ground and step lightly" he whispered. Getting close enough to Sol-Leks he let Joshua pounce on her tail, "Get the tail, she might jump up." he whispered with a smile.

Murtagh nodded. "Shut-up now before you make it too hard." He smirked and lowered to the ground. "So who gets it? You? Or me?" He grinned and waited, keeping as low as possible.

Raiya rose then crouched into a hunting posiition. "Dibs." She whispered and leapt onto the bird. It skwaked(?) and tried to fly away but Raiya bit onto its neck. She sat down as the turkey fell.

"Think you can manage a deer?" Callyn asked, smiling as she tryed not to trip over the pup bouncing around her feet. She was getting too big for that. Finally, Callyn did the smartest thing and just stopped. "Alright, go for it," she said. "I'll be right behind you."
Brigan smiled gratefully. Joshua might not like him for it in the weeks and months to come, but for right now, that would greatly alleviate some of his fears. "I'll probably do that for the first time or two," he nodded.
Joshua tilted her head at Kavik as he whispered to her to follow him. She glanced up at Brigan and Sol-Loks, who were talking and not paying the strictest attention to their respective offspring at that particular moment. She tip-toed after the older pup, curious as to what he was up to. Upon hearing his instructions, she began to grin. She sank low to the ground, then crept forward, leaving the shelter of the bush, and pounced on Sol-Leks' tail with a growl.

Sol-Leks nodded, "It will be nice to have some company more my age, too" she said. Sol-Leks then jumped with a yelp, not expecting the sneak attack. Kavik was rolling around laughing, "Good job!" he said, congratulating Joshua on a job well done. Sol-Leks sat panting a few feet away before coming over to Joshua and rolling her over to tickle her belly with her tail. "You have a very smart daughter, Brigan. I think she will learn quickly." Sol-Leks said as she bent down to nibble on Joshua's ears.

Shadow smiled at Kali and turned to take a drink from the stream.

Kali nudged her mate and nipped at his ear playfully. She dove under his belly and laid down on the other side. The female's tail wagged gracefully and she nipped at Shadow's ankles playfully.

Shadow laughed and nipped Kali back as he tried his best to get his feet out the way. He used his wings to splash her with the water.
