Barak chuckled silently, amused by her growls and her forced thank you. He knew the she-wolf had the most pride, and biggest ego, he'd seen on a wolf in a long time but it didn't faze him. She amused him to no end, not that he would dare tell her that. He'd probably get his ears ripped off, and he quite liked them where they were at the present time. Instead, he flashed her a smile and a gentle look. "I didn't imply you couldn't," he reassured, taking half a slide away from her to show he meant no insult by his words. "But I just wanted you to know whose side I was on." His odd colored eyes stared straight into hers. "Yours."

Odeta's pumpkin colored eyes searched Barak's Indigo ones intently for a moment, before nodding once and standing. "I am starving. I don't know about you, but a mere hare is not going to sate it." With that, the alpha howled, an invitation for a hunt. Secretly unhappy, she doubted that anyone would actually answer and gather. She knew the snow would hold most in, or the fact that they didn't enjoy her company. Either way, the probability of anyone answering was slim in her mind. She did make sure, however, that the howl didn't sound like an order, for she did not want it to sound as so.

Barak almost got lost in her pumpkin eyes, but managed to hold himself back. What was going on with him?? The strangest sensations were flowing through him, and he didn't know what to do. He snapped out of his trance at her words and nodded, agreeing with her. "If I have to just eat one measly hare, I'm going throw a fit," he grumbled, remaining seated. He would give the wolves ten minutes to either answer or arrive, but that was it. He was starving, as his stomach portrayed by growling a protest. He dipped his head, embarassed, and looked away from her.

Odeta flicked her ears and snorted as Barak's stomach complained. He looked embarrassed, oddly enough, which made Odeta chuckle. How could one be embarrassed at something like that?
The red males ears flicked at the howl of the alpha. Faolan howled back, relieved that he would have help hunting. The male trotted towards the sound eagerly.

Barak heard a soft sound and realized it was Odeta chuckling. He was beyond surprised; he hadn't known she had a laughing bone in her body. She seemed perpetually serious, but he actually made her laugh! . . . Snicker. Same difference. He himself chuckled and watched her from the corner of his eye. An answer to Odeta's hunt howl sounded them and he pricked up, ears shoving forward. He listened intently to the sound, then flicked one ear back. He didn't know the howl, and he didn't like that one bit. Without even glancing at Odeta, he noved instinctively closer, ready to defend her as both his alpha and a she-wolf if need be. Then he realized what he did and backed away, ears drooping submissively. "Sorry," he mumbled. "Force of habit. Won't happen again."

Angel cocked her head slightly. 'Are you looking for the al-' she stopped the second she heard the alphas howl, and chuckled. 'Speak of the devil she giggled. 'Come on, you fancy coming hunting with us all? It'll give you a chance to meet the Alphas' she asked him, preying in her mnd the hansome male would say yes.

Odeta's ears flicked at the answering sound, one that she had never heard... no wait. It was Faolan, the kind, soft spoken male she had met. Then Barak moved closer to her, as if to protect her and she sent him a sharp dagger glance. He did apologize, and the alpha merely looked away, back towards the direction of the howl.
Faolan finally found his way to the clearing the alpha had called him to. His entire body was caked in snow, because of how small he was, he had to barrel through snow drifts that were taller then him. He walked forward, but slowed quickly when he spotted a near, large male. A shudder ran down his spine at the sight of him. The male reminded him of the rough time he had in past, his beige color familiar. He covered his uncertainty quickly and walked toward the alpha female, bowing respectfully before giving a respectful, slightly nervous glance to the male. "I heard your calling alpha. I wish to give you my assistance in the Hunt"

Tanek nodded. "Sure." He said and stood. He shook the snow from his fur and padded forward to walk beside the she.

Ana smiled when Freya returned, having acknowledged Brigan and Joshua's amswer to her question about the pup outside. The old wolf had a mouthful of herbs, and was not afraid to teach what they were used for. Ana listened in closely, her ears perked and watching as she sniffed the herbs and inahled their sort of disgusting scents. Joshua wasn't too bad about eating her medicine, and Ana hoped it would continue to be this easy. Sawyer watched Joshua, knowing that if her sister would do it then so would she...She devoured the herb up quickly, wincing at the icky taste in her mouth and sticking her tongue out, letting the air catch it and tint it with some other taste than that. "It's yucky." She complained, flopping over on her belly before letting out a loud wheeze, then breaking into a fit of coughs. Ana felt sympathy growing up inside her for her sick babies, wishing it was her that was sick and not them... She nuzzled Sawyer, but jerked backward when the pup broke into coughs. "Please help them." Ana murmered, partly to herself.
Murtagh awoke sometime later, and stood, stretching back his long hind leg and yawning. He hadn't gotten a decent nap in days. It was about time. Leaning down, he nuzzled his daughter and Raiya, then trotted out to get some time alone while his family slept. He breathed the scent of fresh winter air, right after a storm, then trotted toward the stream. There wolves around, their gossip getting in his head, or the she-wolf's chattering echoing and echoing throughout the territory. He flicked an ear then bent down to get a drink from the cool stream, having to first break the solid liquid from the top, before plunging his mouth into the abyss. He let his muzzle soak up, drinking the liquid at the same time, then he entered the stream, feeling the icy water swallow up his body as it came near to his shoulder, but then his feet were touching the bottom.
Tempest finished up the old hare and slowly heaved herself upward. Callyn was still asleep, and Tempest often worried about her mother in that way. She was sleeping a lot lately...what would it be like when she was gone? They always joked around...but it was never really something to joke about. Flicking her ears backward, she trotted out of the den and into the clearing, lifting her nose to the air and sensing all the wolves around her. She was off to Comet and Cobalt's again. She hoped they didn't look at her as a bother. She was only bored. She sighed and hurried forward to their den, completely forgetting that she probably should have told Callyn where she was going as if not to worry the old black and white she-wolf.

Zakira turned her head away from the bones Nomed shoved toward her with a disdainful sniff. If he was waiting for a pat on the head for being a good dog and eating his supper, he was looking at the wrong she-wolf. She hid a smirk as Harek dropped her leftovers in front of Nomed, commanding that he eat that as well. Her poor mate. If he thought his self-confidence was low before, what must he think now that he had two females lording over him? The thought made Zakira pause. She actually wasn’t sure she liked that. Nomed was her mate. Harek may be his sister, but that didn’t give her the right to order him around and give him ultimatums. That was Zakira’s job. Feeling the first niggling strains of jealousy, the dark she-wolf glanced at the rest of the hare Harek had dropped in front of Nomed and tried to repress that feeling. She would tolerate it for now, while she was grateful for her sister-in-law’s help in encouraging Nomed back to health. If it continued… She looked down at Nomed resting his head on her paw and licked his ear, with an air of possessiveness. “Eat,” she reiterated. She followed his gaze to the two black pups curled at her side and smiled. “Halo and Nakira need a strong father to teach them how to play and hunt and fight.”
Nico glanced up at the new wolf who approached. A graceful white she-wolf with blue eyes that reminded him of Skye’s. She walked up to the male lying in the snow, seeming unsurprised by his condition, and looked him over. Her first casual comments affirmed Nico’s suspicion that she’d been a first-hand witness to the incident. His jaw dropped and stared at Laredo. “You snarled at Zakira’s puppies??!! Are you insane?!!” The lanky tan male threw back his head and howled with laughter. “I take it back: you’re not just lucky she didn’t kill you, it’s a full moon miracle!!” When his laughter had subsided some, he turned, still chuckling, to the she-wolf, who was asking about herb combinations. Traxx had deserted him, so it was up to him to answer her. “Uh…herbs?” he asked. “I dunno, do pine trees count? They’re still green. Or, um…” He trailed off with a helpless shrug. “Sorry.”
Freya watched the pups closely to be sure that both swallowed, then smiled. “Well done!” she praised them. “Now why don’t you two lick up those syrup drops. Just hold them in your mouth and they’ll melt.” The bitter taste of the borage root hadn’t bothered Joshua. She glanced at her sister as Sawyer complained about it, cocking her ears curiously. “Does it make you feel better, Sawyer?” she asked. She was already starting to imagine the herbs were taking effect on her and the idea that plain old forest plants were so magical just tickled her. She stuck out her tongue and lapped up the little drop of maple sap that Freya gave her. “It’s sweet!” she said, as the sugars began to dissolve on her tongue. As the pups sucked on their syrup drops, Freya pulled the remainder of the herbs, a few thorny twigs, toward her and began chewing them carefully. “I stopped and picked a few bramble twigs on my way back,” she explained to Brigan and Ana as she chewed. “The bark chewed into a paste will help the girls rest while the herbs begin to work in their systems.” By the time both pups were finished with their syrup drops, Freya was ready with the bramble paste. She spat it out on the den floor for them. Joshua obediently licked it up. It wasn’t long before her eyelids began to grow heavy. She settled on her tummy and rested her head on her paws. Freya smiled. “There,” she said quietly. “They should sleep well. I’ll be back tomorrow with a few more herbs for them, and to see how they’re doing.” Brigan watched his daughters drift off to a peaceful sleep, then turned his brown eyes on the elderly healer. “Thank you,” he said fervently, though just as quietly.

Raiya stirred a little when Murtagh left, but she quickly fell back asleep again. She could feel Erikas tiny heartbeat against her stomach.
Erika shifted in her sleep. She was dreaming about a strange winged creature that had many colors. She will learn later on that that creature is a butterfly. She was chasing it until she ploped down from exaustion. She wanted nothing more than to be able to get up and run.

Barak flicked his ears at the male approaching but remained silent as he neared, eyes narrowed. The wolf merely came up and said he wished to hunt with them. Nodding but remaining silent, the beige male watched him lazily before returning his attention to his surroundings.
Nomed looked at Zakira pitifully, but she merely commanded him to eat as well. Grumbling, he pulled the piece of Harek's food towards him and tucked into that as well. Yes, he had still been hungry, but that didn't mean he necessarily wanted to eat all his she-wolves' food. Then her next words struck home. He did need to be strong, not only to protect his little girl but to teach his brave boy how he should be. He promised, to himself, Zakira, and their pups, to be the best father he could be. Huckle was a monster and he would never allow his pups to feel that way about him. He would be there for them, every step of the way, no matter what came their way. He ate the leg quickly and rested his head back on Zakira's paws. His green eyes were soft and gentle as he watched his two bundles. "How did I deserve these things??" he asked, half to himself. He sidled closer to Zakira almost subconsciously. "I will be the best father to them they could ever want. That is a promise."
Harek looked at the tan male as he laughed whole-heartedly at the predicament they were in and frowned to hide her smile. His laugh was infectious, but she wouldn't laugh at another wolf's agony. She had seen her father do it far too much, and wouldn't allow herself to mimic him. Instead she sniffed Laredo cautiously, checking in the off chance there was some infection starting as well as to see how deep the dark wolf's claws bit into his flesh. The tan wolf suggested some things, not knowinf what to do himself, and she sighed wearily. She padded a touch away and pulled back snow to make a wolf sized indent. "Lay here," she instructed the white male cooly. "It should numb your wounds and stop the bleeding." She then looked at the tan male. "If you could go find some pine, I'd be grateful." Then her blue gaze darted towards the grumpy red and black she-wolf and she sighed. "And I know you don't like me, but do you think you could, by chance, find some cobwebs?? If there's still any, I'm not quite sure. I don'f know my way around this forest, and don't even knkw where I would go to find these things." She gave a small, helpless shrug.

“You already are,” Zakira said, her smile softening at her mate’s devotion. The look in Nomed’s green eyes as he stared at their pups was beyond obsessed. He was infatuated. She didn’t doubt Halo and Nakira would ever lack for anything in their lives. She rather thought they might turn out spoiled rotten if she didn’t keep Nomed in check. “You realize I’m going to end up the mean parent when I tell them the world doesn’t really revolve around them as their father lets them believe?” she told him, a faint teasing note entering her voice.
“Here, trade me, Traxx,” Nico offered, recovered from his fit of giggles now. He figured the cobwebs might be harder to spot, especially for a she-wolf who’s only just partially regained her sight. “You find the pine and I’ll take the cobwebs.” He glanced toward his den, thinking of Skye sleeping inside. She would be okay for a little bit without him. He would be back soon. She might not even know he was gone. Decided, he set off at an easy lope, sharpening his gaze for the glint of web stretching between branches. The blizzard would have blown them all quite away, of course, but he was hoping some enterprising spider or two had gotten a new web up since this morning. It wasn’t impossible, he reasoned. He got lucky. He’d been searching hard for about ten minutes when he very nearly destroyed the delicate little structure he was looking for by walking face-first into it. “Oops!” he muttered to himself, gathering the cobwebs around a stick he’d dug up from the snow. “Imagine having to go back and tell that regal white she’ that she’d have to pluck her cobwebs from my nose! Bet she wouldn’t be too pleased.” He grinned, then loped back to his den site, carrying the cobwebbed stick in his mouth. “Here you go!” he said, presenting it to the white she’. “My name’s Nico, by the way. What’s yours?”

Angel nodded, tail waving slightly as she headed towards the alphas, howling once more. However, she forgot about the leg, and her howl was cut off by her whimper as she remembered her hind leg was injured. Despite this, she pushed on.

Nomed glanced up at her at her words, eyes widening then relaxing. She already thought he was a good father. How was that possible?? He hadn't even done anything yet . . . But her next words made him smile, even chuckle lightly. "You had to have seen that coming, love," he purred teasingly, nosing her gently. "You always win our arguments, and I'm like a limp noodle." He chuckled easily. "They're my whole world. And their mother." He licked her neck softly. "That's all I care about."
Harek blinked as the male switched roles with the brutalized she-wolf and dashed off in an instant. She looked confused but amused, and settled down to wait for his return. He seemed to be a peppy wolf, something she could admire. While she liked to think of herself as kind and compassionate, even she had her moments of brutality. Mostly if a young wolf or pup was in danger, which wasn't necessarily a bad thing. But she had snapped at Zakira, she remembered ruefully. That was for basically no reason. The wolf returned with a wad of cobwebs on a stick, bounding around like a pup. She giggled softly, enjoying his attitude. He seemed like a fun wolf to be around. He gave her the stick and began small talk with her. She smiled at him gently. "I am Harek," she greeted softly, blue eyes bright. "Nice to meet you, Nico." (I wanna know how something as hilarious as Nico could come out of something has sharp as Cal. X) lolololol)

Odeta glanced at the male and nodded. The amber she wolf didn't really know the male, but was happy for his help all the same.
Faolan nodded and backed up a few steps, only to sit down, with his ears perked. He was the first wolf there, and he wondered if any others were coming.

"No." Sawyer complained when Joshua asked if the herb was making her feel better. It was absolutely not! She let out a little yip, but was excited to try the syrupy stuff that was next. She waited again, for Joshua's reaction, then at the mention of 'sweet' she hurriedly licked up the syrup, wanting more already. "Yum!" She yipped, swiping her tongue over her mouth. She let the herb disolve on her tongue, then turned to watch Freya and obediently, at the same time as her sister, licked up the pastey stuff. Almost instantly, she was exhausted. Her eyelids fluttered and her brown eyes became blurr. She let out a tired yawn, then tucked her head under Joshua's chin and fell asleep curled up beside her. Ana listened closely to Freya's instructions, making absolute sure that she didn't forget the instructions. When the female turned to leave, Ana uttered a small 'thank you' as she stared at the ground, her mind racing. She looked up and met Brigan'd eyes, her emerald ones filled with worry and hope at the same time. "You think she can help them?" She whimpered, tucking her head under his chin and burrowing into his chest fur. She was entirely worried about her daughters at this time...her mind only working when she thought of them. She was afraid...but she shouldn't be. She should believe that this Freya can help them...she seemed very knowledgeable in herbs and healing an Ana was pretty sure she trusted her.

(Rofl. Nico’s got his mom’s sense of humor and his dad’s easy, laid-back nature. Kinda comes together in a way that’s just all Nico XD)
“Harek,” Nico grinned. “Nice to meet you too.” He flopped down in the snow to watch her patch up the male who’d crossed Zakira. “So,” he said. “How come you know so much about this? If Zakira was really as mad as all that, I find it hard to believe she let anyone get away unscathed.” He thought for a moment. “Nomed either, for that matter.” He turned inquisitive green eyes on the elegant white she’ and wagged his tail, sweeping it through the snow. “So what makes you so special?”
“Of course I saw it,” Zakira snorted delicately, still teasing. “I just asked if you did. But now I know that you are fully aware of the position you’re putting me in. How unfair,” she pointed out, allowing a mild frown to cross her features. She returned his lick with a light nip. “I want them to like me too. They won’t if you’re always telling them ‘yes’ and I’m telling them ‘no’.”
Freya nodded to both wolves ,then padded out. She’d decided that if she was going to stay in this territory for any length of time, she had to have a proper den to store supplies. She set out looking for one now. Brigan smiled into Ana’s green eyes, nuzzling her as she tucked her head under his chin and snuggled close, seeking assurance. He, for one, was entirely convinced that the elderly healer knew what she was about. “I think she is helping them,” his husky voice murmured in her ear. “Don’t worry, Ana. Freya seemed confident that there was no danger. She said we caught the sickness in time. Thank the moon we did! And that Freya was at that meeting when Odeta called us together.” He remembered suddenly that in all the excitement, he hadn’t told his mate what had happened at the meeting. “She’s to be our new alpha,” he explained. “Odeta. She’s new to the territory. Young, maybe your age.” Brigan hesitated, then voiced his honest thoughts. “I wasn’t sure I wanted someone so new to lead us, someone we didn’t know. But I think Odeta will be good to us.”

(Lololol Niccco. X) ) Harek looked amused as Nico asked her how she had come to know of the altercation between the two dark warriors and the new wolf, raising an eyebrow slightly and looking down at him from his spot in the snow. She gave a light, tinkling laugh and turned her attention to the wounded male. "What, has no one told you??" she asked, feigning indignance and horror. "I live with Zakira and Nomed." Eyes sparkling, she placed cobwebs along her sister-in-mating's fancy claw work. "I could've sworn it would have been all across the territory by now; after all, they are deadly wolves. To have a wolf in their den . . . It must be unthinkable!" She tossed her head back and laughed harder, the bell-like around floating around. She turned her pale blue, almost white eyes to Nick, smiling wide. "Nomed's my brother."
Nomed chuckled at her "offended" tone and shook his head when she nipped him, amused greatly by her teasing and banter. It was the only downside to having Harek in their den; Zakira didn't feel completely comfortable with the white wolf and therefore didn't play like he liked her to. So when he got it, he milked it for all its worth. "Well, here's an idea," he purred, nosing her gently. "Don't say no, Miss Spoilsport." He laughed, a full body rumble, then gathered his breath. "I won't always say yes. Obviously, if Nakira dares to try to take a mate, or even talk to boys beside her brother or cousin, I'll say no." He frowned at the little black bundle with her mother's markings.
