Zakira tipped her muzzle up and laughed outright. Nomed never seemed to think she was capable of joking, just because her humor tended to emerge in subtler ways. She leveled twinkling grey eyes on him. “Nomed,” she smiled, her lilting accent dancing over the syllables in his name . “I was joking.” She gazed back down at Halo and Nakira as Nomed nosed her neck. No, she would never have imagined that day would have brought them both here. The only thing she’d been imagining that day had been Nomed’s imminent death. Thank the moon that hadn’t turned out! “Funny how love changes you,” she murmured in agreement. Halo’s tiny head swung toward the sound of his parents’ laughter. His eyes, blue as very young pups’ always are, squinted, trying to make out the blurry shapes over his head.
Freya returned the white she-wolf’s warm smile and settled back comfortably on her haunches. “I’m glad to have helped,” she said, and introduced herself. “My name is Freya. I’ll be staying with the pack for a while, so if there’s ever anything else I can do, just let me know.” She cocked her head slightly then, as the white she’ once again mentioned the ‘bloodthirsty’ wolf. “Who is this bloodthirsty wolf who’s caused all the trouble today?” she asked curiously.

Nomed looked pleasantly surprised at her laughter, at least until he realized it was at him. He flicked one ear back in mild embarrassment and looked at her with a smirk and a raised eyebrow. He chuckled and nipped at her ear lightly, growling softly. "I knew that," he said unconvincingly, trying to hold back any and all signs of anything less than total confidence in himself and his words. He knew she was going to be all over him in a minute, but he could hold out this "tough guy" façade as long as necessary . . . At least, until he cracked with the embarrassment he knew was going to ensue upon her next, mostly snarky and / or sarcastic response. He eyed her semi-warily, trying to keep the most insecurities out of his eyes.
Harek giggled and waved her tail as Traxx bolted off, excited like a pup in the prospect of a hunt. She liked hunting as well, but found she did her best work alone. Pack functions weren't for her, ironically. One of the most sociable wolves to meet didn't work well in pack hunts. She shrugged off the thoughts and returned to the matter at paw. "Alright, nice meeting you too," she called, her light voice floating after her, though the white female doubted she was heard. Shaking her head, she redirected her attention to the other wolves. Freya introduced herself and added she was glad to have been of assistance. Smiling, Harek nodded to her. "Nice to meet you, Freya." Upon her next question, however, the previously composed wolf nearly collapsed in a fit of giggles. "Which one??" She giggled harder, her whole body trembling. She finally managed to recompose herself relatively well, but was forced to lay down because she couldn't stop laughing hard enough to stand. Glacier blue eyes bright, she smiled up at the other wolf. "That would be my brother Nomed and sister-in-mating Zakira. Zakira was the on to do this nice slice," she motioned to Laredo, "but they tend to only attack when you bother them more than you should. He, probably accidentally, snarled at Zakira's pups and he's lucky Nomed didn't hear because then he really would've regretted it." She flashed a meaningful look at the male. "Be careful where you tread. Not all wolves are as forgiving as me. My pups were in that den, too, and I'd greatly appreciate it if you never dared threaten them again. I myself was about to Zakira's position, especially with the barb you shot at No."
When Odeta looked at him, Barak nodded to her and gave a quick smile. She'd done well on the courteousness, and that's all that was necessary. He stood silently and followed after his alpha after nodding to the new wolves that had appeared, then saw the shorter male struggling slightly throw the heavy snow. He padded over and muttered a quick "follow my path" in his ear before plowing through, making a trail for the other male to follow. He was used to making trails like this, he had to a lot of Mason after he lost his sight, though he usually held his tail in his mouth so he didn't get lost. The memories made him falter half a step and nearly fall on his face, but he shook his head and kept his eyes downcast so no one could see the expressive indigo orbs that told what he was thinking.

A little while later, Ana's jewlish eyes blinked open, the emerald color at first blurry to the sight, before it wavered and focused. Feeling much better, the she-wolf stood slowly, careful not to wake her sleeping mate, nor her sick daughters, Joshua and Sawyer. They would need as much sleep as they could get to keep up their strength to fight their illness. The poor things. Smiling down at them fondly, Ana tipped her muzzle toward the entrance where light streamed into the den, though it did seem to become dimmer. Her nose twitched and she headed outside, enjoying the feeling of fresh air hitting her warm white fur as it blew sideways and forward, backward and all over in the wind. Her delictae footsteps propelled her forward with ease at a walk, but taking fairly large strides as she headed to the stream. The water wasn't iced over, so when she padded over, she merely lowered her muzzle and lapped at the cool liquid, letting it dissolve into her tongue and down her throat. She knew she shouldn't be away from Brigan and the girls for long, so she hurried back after that, finding Sawyer awake when she got there, the little pup's bleary brown eyes trying hard to focus as she peered at her mother. "Mama my tummy hurts." She whimpered. "Hush, dear." Ana curled her tail around the pup and pulled her closely to her, rapping her tongue over the little ones ears several times, then her scruff before Sawyer pulled away in protest. "Where is the grey wolf?" She asked. "The one that gave us that medicine." She added the last part to make sure Ana knew who she was talking about. If the old wolf had given her name, Sawyer didn't remember. "Freya should be back later." Ana replied assuringly, pulling Sawyer closer to her and smiling softly when the pup snuggled into her chest fur.
Murtagh strode through the forest in long strides, scenting wolves all around but not in the mood for a nice chat, even if the encounter approached him. He knew it was time to get back to Raiya and Erika. He missed them, and it had only been merely a few hours or so. Right? Glancing up at the sky, the grey male picked up his pace back to his den that he shared with his mate and new puppy. Spotting it, he hurried inside to greet his mate, Raiya and nuzzle their young daughter, Erika. He curled up beside them both. "Sleep well?" He murmered softly.
Tempest had changed directions after heading toward Comet and Cobalt's. She found there was a lot of drama nearby the den, and decided not to go to their den and to catch them later. Now she headed back to her own den where Callyn had been asleep in before she left. She wondered if the ol' female was awake now, and if she'd do something with her...Then again, maybe she'd just head somewhere else...Her black eyes searching the clearing around her, she found nothing important or interesting, so she headed into the woods. She was nearly the size of an average wolf by now- almost full grown so her long strides took her forward at a quick pace as she broke into a slow, easy run. Her mind suddenly drifted...and to her surprise, Cobalt's face popped into her mind. His sheepish, adorable grin. ...Wait..? Adorable?! And then it was his clutzy, yet sweet personality that made her suddenly stop where she was at. Why am I thinking of Cobalt all of a sudden?! She let out a hiss of annoyance and shook her head, as if to clear her thoughts. And what about Comet? Why wasn't she thinking of him as well? All of her memories she had with the boys were with them together...So why just Cobalt now? Scowling, she stalked forward again, tail swaying with confusing and frusteration. This was completetly obserd. Ridiculous. Ludicrous. She growled n frusteration and took a running leap forward, chasing a rabbit into its burrow that she had barely realized she was approaching prior.
Comet paced in his den. The storm was long over by now. Flicking an ear back, he exited the den without a word to his brother or sister, who were still in the den (?). He pranced into the forest, his mind reeling. Ever since...when...? It had been a while anyway, that he had especially been thinking of Tempest. Why? He knew why. Unlike a lot of the youngsters at his age, he knew why he was suddenly having a lot of thoughts about a she-wolf- or in a females case, a male. This time he was sure anyway. He just couldn't put his mind to ease. Did she like him? There was no way at knowing. Tempest was a hard one to see or feel out. She was always either flirting(in a...Tempest sort of way), or just being good friends with both the brothers so it was hard for Comet to tell. He knew it was his job to do something about it...but what? He didn't know what Cobalt thought all this time.. Could he talk to his brother about Tempest maybe? Maybe he'd have some advice for him or something...Would he be mad that this might bring the brothers further apart? No, Cobalt wasn't that kind...Right?

Raiya lifted her head as her mate entered the den. "Very well." She responded lovingly.
Erika wiggled around as she sensed another wolf enter. She was restless. She couldn't open her eyes and she couldn't hear. However she did have her own thoughts, and her own opinions. Her opinion on being unable to move furiated her. She wiggled around on her stomach more until she was away from her mother. She wiggled in a direction hoping that was her father. Instead she bumed into a wall. Being not even a week old, she did the only thing she could, she started crying.
Raiya had watched her daughter as she expolred around the cave. However she gently picked her up and brought her back to where they were when she started crying. She soothingly licked Erika and lulled her back to sleep.

Angel blushed slightly as he brushed past her, and growled at Tanek playfully, but only so that he could hear. She flicked her tail at his nose as she ran past, only slowing down as she got to the front.

Murtagh's hunter green eyes followed Erika while the young puppy took her first adventure in the den without her ears nor eyes opened. An amused chuckle rumbled deep in his throat as the little grey pup bumped into the wall and began crying, clearly indignant. She was going to have a temper, eh? Like her mother. Grinning, Murtagh stood while Raiya scooped up the pup and brought her back beside her to lay down down, soothing her with comforting murmers. "She's just like her mother." He teased, tongue lolling. He knew very well that Erika may get her stubborness from her mother, but Murtagh himself had a bad temper when he was angry thoughh he tried to hide it for the sake of his family now that he was responsible for one. He lay down across from Raiya now, his front legs sprawled out in front of him while his back legs bunched together. "This Barak seems to be getting close with Odeta. And know when I say this, that I am not complaining. Barak will make a good Alpha no doubt." He commented conversationally.

Raiya looked up from Erika. "I bet he will." She agreed.
Erika, reassured by her mother, snuggled into her soft belly fur. She didn't sleep however. She was too awake for that.

When Raiya didn't respond to his joke about Erika's being just like her mother, stubborn and all, Murtagh briefly wondered if it was a bad joke. He tended to throw some of those in conversations and not realize their slow humor. He quickly brushed this off however, as Raiya replied to his other comment. Barak was new, but he seemed to hold the right authority for the pack. Not too strict and leaderly, but not completely care-free. He had a mixture of both personalities in him which was a great quality for a leader. You had to learn how to say no, but if you were too harsh, you would scare possible new members away. Murtagh flicked his grey tail, then it swayed across the ground in a wag, scraping at the grind and grit on the floor, but instead disguising as a broom and collecting all of the durt in his tail. He didn't bother cleaning it though, as he would later... "So, any pups Erika's age in the pack?" He wondered out loud. As far as he knew, she was the newest pup, but there may have been some just before...like...The outcasts! Zakira and Nomes had pups! Just before Erika if he wasn't mistaken. Having figured it out so quickly, Murtagh added, "Well there's Zakira and Nomeds' pups..." He grinned.

Murtagh looked confused for a second, cocking his head sideways and adjusting his position of the floor of the den. This surprised him..."Nomed has a sister?" He asked increduously. He tried to think this out...she must have joined later than him since she hadn't been a large talk of the pack like Nomed and Zakira were. "I didn't realize he had a sister. But yeah, then if you're sure. She probably does." He said. "Cousins born so close." Chuckling, he stretched his limbs forward, then let out a yawn. He gave a tiny shrug and rolled his shoulders. Murtagh's green eyes rested on Erika. "Hear that baby girl?" He said, though he knew very much that she had no way of hearing. "Frrriendss." He slurred jokingly. But glancing at Raiya, he added silently. Maybe not if they take after their parents. But it was merely a joke.
